MONTHLY

Prayer is vital to any ministry. Each month Parkway Bible Church produces a prayer calendar to encourage you to pray for our various ministries, missionaries and volunteers.

MAY

31. Pray for the Missions Committee as they meet tomorrow. Pray for Philip Rough and his work in Africa (Southern Sudan) with MedAir. As MedAir serves the world’s most vulnerable with relief and rehabilitation from natural disasters, conflicts and other crises’, Phil is handling the logistics of the teams’ efforts.

JUNE

1. Pray for the fundraising dinner tomorrow for Manitoulin and Camp Senda. Pray for a good turnout. Pray for Ann Stocker (Youth Unlimited) as she leads the young moms group at Parkway. Pray for her financial needs.

2. Pray for the Overcomers (55+) for their Spring trip tomorrow for a safe and fun time together. Pray for Colin & Judith McCartney (Urban Promise) Ask the Lord to meet their staffing & financial needs as they plan for summer activities.

3. Pray for the Warehouse Sr. High meeting tomorrow. Pray with Helen Wyse (YFC) for her duties in training and supervising workers.

4. Pray for the Adventure Kingdom workers as they prepare for their classes on Sunday. Pray for Larry and Vicki Sharp (Crossworld, Pennsylvania) Crossworld’s head office move to Kansas City marks a change in the focus the Sharp’s work. Continue to pray for their work in extending help to Haiti.

5. Pray for the worship service tomorrow as we gather around the Lord’s table and for Brad Thompson as he brings the message. Pray our National missionaries in Colombia. Ask the Lord to continue to protect them and the other pastors in the area from threats and harm.

6. (Sunday) "Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation." (Psalm 24:3-5)

7. Pray for Camp Senda and for Tori Bissell (Dir.) and Patrick Erskine (Asst Dir.) as they work on plans for the camp. Pray for camper registrations to come in. Pray for Janice Beurling (Chosen People Ministries) as she disciples new believers.

8. Pray for the Wednesday night Bible study and prayer meeting. Pray with Don & Gael Matsune (Navigators, Calgary) for their ministry.

9. Pray for the Manitoulin Team as they prepare for their week of ministry with Day Star. Pray with Ken and Shirley Hoffmann (SIM, USA) for their work in the home office. Pray for Shirley as they battle another recurrence of her lymphoma.

10. Pray for the Warehouse Sr. High meeting tomorrow. Pray for Steve & Georgie Kearns (AIA) as they work with athletes & their families.

11. Pray for the Church picnic as we join with the Maryvale Community Association to connect with people in the neighbourhood. Pray for Kelly Stouffer (UP) & her ministry to "at risk" youth in Toronto as she plans for summer activities.

12. Pray for the worship service tomorrow for all who lead and all who attend. Pray for Beth Botheras (SIM Niger) and her ministry at the Academy in Niger. Pray for political stability and for her teaching.

13. (Sunday) "Lift up your heads, O gates, and lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may came in! Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle." (Psalm 24:7-8)

14. Pray for the Deacons as they meet tonight. Ask the Lord to give them wisdom to deal with the various issues that come before them. Pray for Michelle Shockness (UP Toronto) as she works with the children & families of the camps.

15. Pray for the Elders as they meet tonight for the Lord’s leading and wisdom on all issues. Pray for Janice Beurling (Chosen People Ministries) as she disciples new believers.

16. Pray for the Fellowship Care Group ministry at Parkway. Pray for more people to become involved. Pray for Malcolm Seath as he coordinates this ministry. Pray for Jennifer Mikelait (Youth Unlimited, Toronto) and her work with youth.

17. Pray for the Warehouse Sr. High meeting tomorrow. Pray with Helen Wyse (YFC) for her duties in training and supervising workers.

18. Pray for the fathers of our church for strength, wisdom and guidance from the Lord as they seek to fulfil their role. Pray for Philip Rough as he has begun a year long stint in Africa (Southern Sudan) with MedAir. As MedAir serves the world’s most vulnerable with relief and rehabilitation from natural disasters, conflicts and other crises’, Phil will be handling the logistics of the teams’ efforts.

19. Pray for the worship service tomorrow as we honour our fathers on their special day. Pray for Brad & Sylvia Thompson (CCC, Ontario) & their ministry on University campuses in Ontario.

20. (Sunday) "To Thee, O Lord, I lift up my soul. O my God, in Thee I trust, do not let me be ashamed; do not let my enemies exult over me." (Psalm 25:1-2)

21. Continue to pray for preparations for Camp Senda for registrations and for the plans to come together for another great and safe summer of camp. Pray for Paul & Audrey Reid (CEF Spain) as they continue a busy schedule of training and work with CEF Spain.

22. Pray for the Wednesday night Bible and prayer meeting. Pray for Tammy Sharp (Crossworld) as she helps Missionary kids with the adjustments they face.

23. Pray for the Manitoulin Team as they prepare for their week of ministry with Day Star. Ask the Lord to direct their plans. Pray with Ken and Shirley Hoffmann (SIM, USA) for their work in the home office. Pray for Shirley as they battle another recurrence of her lymphoma.

24. Pray for the Warehouse Sr. High meeting tomorrow. Pray for Shirley Hamilton & the Daystar Native Outreach ministry as they prepare for their summer ministry.

25. Pray for the Adventure Kingdom workers as they prepare for their classes on Sunday. Pray for our sister church in Cuba as they follow-up on new believers and set up a printing press to assist their ministries.

26. Pray for the worship service tomorrow and for the Encounter worship in the evening. Pray for Joseph Benny (Asia Mission Centre) and his work to train pastors in India.

27. (Sunday) "Make me know thy ways, O Lord; teach me Thy paths. Lead me in Thy truth and teach me, for Thou art the God of my salvation; for Thee I wait all the day." (Psalm 25:4-5)

28. Pray for Camp Senda as Tori, Patrick and the counsellors hold a training week. Only one more week until Camp begins. Ask the Lord to direct their preparations. Pray for Colin & Judith McCartney (Urban Promise) Ask the Lord to meet their staffing & financial needs.

29. Pray for the Manitoulin team. Continue to pray for the Lord to prepare the way for their ministry. Pray for Beth Botheras (SIM Niger) and her ministry at the Academy in Niger.

30. Pray for those who will be travelling over the long weekend for safety. Pray with Don & Gael Matsune (Navigators, Calgary) for their ministry
